Backview Warranty

  • All Blackview Smartphones purchased from our Blackview Authorised Resellers (*BAR*), in Australia and New Zealand are covered by a 12 month warranty. 

  • Only  Blackview Smartphones purchased from a *BAR* - Blackview Authorised Reseller are covered under warranty

  • Blackview Australia Warranty is only offered through a *BAR*

  • Blackview Australia does not support or offer a warranty for products not purchased through a *BAR* - Buyer beware / Caveat Emptor!.

  • We only supply spare parts for warranty repairs to *BAR* - Blackview Authorised Resellers/Service centres

  • We do not supply spare parts to non authorised shops and we track all sales in a specialised data base - we know the phones our *BAR* Blackview Authorised Resellers have sold and can identify them easily.

  • If your phone develops a problem - contact the *BAR* Authorised Reseller where you purchased the Smartphone - we will look after your warranty claim through the *BAR* Blackview Authorised Reseller.

  • You will need to retain your receipt for proof of purchase to claim any warranty.

  • If your Blackview Smartphone has not been purchased legitimately through a *BAR* - Blackview Authorised Reseller please do not contact us - we can not help you.

Important Notes:

Warranty Does not Cover:

  • Physical Damage to the phone caused by the user - for example dropping the phone is not covered

  • If you drop your phone it is not covered by Warranty - dropping phones can cause internal damage to components.

  • Water Damage to the phone is not covered 

  • If the phone is rooted  and other software is installed the warranty is void immediately

If you did not Purchase from Tekram or an Authorised Dealer:

  • Although Tekram Direct offers Blackview products this does not mean we will be able to offer warranty support or service to people who purchase directly from oversea websites.

  • Purchasing from an overseas website is risky and can be far more costly than the amount of money you think you will save.

  • In the long run we believe you are better off paying a little more and purchasing from Tekram Direct.

  • If you have purchased from another website please approach that business for your service needs - we have no relationship with them at all and can not assist or help with any issue you may encounter due to purchasing from another business, in another country - "caveat emptor ! "

  • We encounter many people who have purchased form overseas websites who seem to think we should support them when they do not purchase from Tekram Direct - this is simply not the case.  We have no contract with any company to support them.

  • All products purchased from Overseas Web Sites are purchased at your own risk!!! these purchases have no relationship to us at all!

ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY FOR BLACKVIEW AND MOBIKIK PHONES:

 

This warranty applies only to Blackview branded and Mobikik branded mobile phones that were sold:

  • through this website; or
  • by authorised resellers who have bought such phones from TekramDirect,

(all such phones referred to as “Mobile Phones”).

 

To the extent permitted by law:

  • these warranty terms are exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, remedies and conditions, whether oral, written, statutory, express or implied;
  • TekramDirect disclaims all statutory and implied warranties, including without limitation, warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose (including any perception based on any online literature, video or other representation that did not appear on this website, or any perception based on any representation by a TekramDirect authorised reseller, that did not appear on this website) and warranties against hidden or latent defects.

 

Insofar as such warranties cannot be disclaimed, TekramDirect limits the duration and remedies of such warranties to the duration of this express warranty and, at its option, the repair or replacement services described below.

 

WHAT DOES THIS WARRANTY COVER?

This warranty covers the Mobile Phone hardware contained in the original packaging  against defects in materials and workmanship when used normally for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of your purchase of the Mobile Phone.

 

WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY?

This warranty does not apply to any non-Blackview and non-Mobikik branded hardware products or any software, even if packaged or sold with the Mobile Phones’ hardware.  Manufacturers, suppliers or publishers of such other hardware or software may provide their own warranties to you but Blackview and Mobikik (and therefore also TekramDirect), insofar as permitted by law, provides their respective products “AS IS”.  Software distributed by the manufacturers of the Mobile Phones (including, but not limited to system software) is not covered by this warranty.  Please refer to the licensing agreement (if any) accompanying the software for details of your rights with respect to its use.  TekramDirect does not warrant that the operation of the Mobile Phones will be uninterrupted or error-free.  TekramDirect is not responsible for any damage or loss arising from failure to follow instructions relating to the Mobile Phone’s use.

 

This warranty does not apply:

(a)            to consumable parts, such as batteries or protective coatings that are designed to diminish over time, unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship;

 

(b)           to cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents and broken plastic on ports;

(c)            to damage caused by use with another product;

(d)           to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, rough handling, liquid contact, fire, earthquake or other external cause.  By way of example only, a Blackview Tuff phone may wear better than another Blackview phone that is not in the Tuff range, but the Tuff phone is not indestructible and should still be used normally and with care, as you should do with any other generic mobile phones;

(e)            to damage caused by operating the Mobile Phone outside its manufacturer’s published guidelines;

(f)             to damage caused by service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone who is not a service provider authorised by TekramDirect;

(g)            to any Mobile Phone that has been modified to alter functionality or capability without TekramDirect’s prior written permission;

(h)           to defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the Mobile Phone; or

(i)             if any serial number has been removed or defaced from the Mobile Phone;

(j)             if you do not provide the receipt issued by TekramDirect’s authorised reseller as proof of purchase and date.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

YOU SHOULD MAKE PERIODIC BACKUP COPIES OF THE INFORMATION CONTAINED ON THE MOBILE PHONE’S STORAGE MEDIA TO PROTECT THE CONTENTS AND AS A PRECAUTION AGAINST POSSIBLE OPERATIONAL FAILURES.

 

Before receiving warranty service, TekramDirect (or its authorised repairers) may require that you furnish proof of purchase details, respond to questions designed to assist with diagnosing potential issues and follow TekramDirect’s (or its authorised repairers’) procedures for obtaining warranty service.  Before submitting your Mobile Phone for warranty service you should maintain a separate backup copy of the contents of its storage media, remove all personal information that you want to protect, and disable all security passwords.

 

DURING WARRANTY SERVICE THE CONTENTS OF THE STORAGE MEDIA MAY BE DELETED AND REFORMATTED.  TEKRAMDIRECT AND ITS AUTHORISED REPAIRERS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OF SOFTWARE PROGRAMS, DATA OR OTHER INFORMATION CONTAINED ON THE STORAGE MEDIA OR ANY OTHER PART OF THE MOBILE PHONE SERVICED.

 

TekramDirect or its authorised repairer may install system software updates as part of warranty service that will prevent the Mobile Phone from reverting to an earlier version of the system software.  Third party applications installed on the Mobile Phone may not be compatible or work with the Mobile Phone as a result of the system software update.  You wll be responsible for reinstalling all other software programs, data and information.  Recovery and reinstallation of other software programs, data and information are not covered under this warranty.

 

Important:  Some of the Blackview Mobile Phones are not designed to be opened by you.  In that case, do not open the the Blackview Mobile Phone.  Opening the Blackview Mobile Phone may cause damage that is not covered by this warranty.  Only TekramDirect or its authorised repairer should perform service on such Blackview Mobile Phone.

 

IF THE WARRANTY IS BREACHED, WHAT WILL TEKRAMDIRECT DO?

If during the Warranty Period you submit a valid claim to TekramDirect, TekramDirect will, at its option:

(i) repair the Mobile Phone using new or previously used parts that are equivalent/similar to new in performance and reliability, or

(ii) replace the Mobile Phone with a product that is at least functionally equivalent to the Mobile Phone and is formed from new and/or previously used parts that are equivalent/similar to new in performance and reliability.

 

TekramDirect may ask you to replace certain user-installable parts or products.  A replacement part or product, including a user-installable part that has been installed in accordance with instructions provided by TekramDirect, assumes the remaining warranty of the Mobile Phone or ninety (90) days from the date of replacement or repair, whichever provides longer coverage for you.  When a product or part is replaced, any replacement item becomes your property and the replaced item becomes TekramDirect’s property.

 

HOW TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE

Please email or contact TekramDirect through this website before seeking warranty service, and TekramDirect will provide you with information to assist you.  If the Mobile Phone is still not functioning properly after that, please contact TekramDirct again if you had bought your Mobile Phone through this website, or contact the TekramDirect authorised reseller who sold you the Mobile Phone.  TekramDirect or its authorised reseller will help determine whether your Mobile Phone requires service and, if it does, will inform you how it will be provided.

 

WARRANTY SERVICE

Service options, parts’ availability and response times may vary.  TekramDirect’s service providers are available only in Australia and New Zealand, so you may be responsible for shipping and handling charges to send your warranty claim back to New Zealand or Australia.

 

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Except as provided by this warranty and to the maximum extent permitted by law, neither TekramDirect nor the manufacturer of the Mobile Phones are responsible for direct, special, incidental or consequential damages resulting from any breach of warranty or condition, or under any other legal theory, including but not limited to loss of use; loss of revenue; loss of actual or anticipated profits (including loss of profits on contracts); loss of the use of money; loss of anticipated savings; loss of business; loss of opportunity; loss of goodwill; loss of reputation; loss of, damage to, compromise or corruption of data; or any indirect or consequential loss or damage howsoever caused including the replacement  of equipment and property, any costs of recovering, programming, or reproducing any program or data stored in or used with the Mobile Phone or any failure to maintain the confidentiality of information stored on the Mobile Phone (or otherwise available or evident as a result of your use of the Mobile Phone).

 

TekramDirect disclaims any representation that it will be able to repair any Mobile Phone under this warranty or replace the Mobile Phone without risk to or loss of information stored or otherwise available in the Mobile Phone.
